National Excellence Awards: a NEAT way to recognize educators

The efforts of talented, inspiring and dedicated teachers aren't always recognized. That's why The Heritage Educational Foundation created the National Excellence Awards for Teachers – or NEAT, for short.

Rewarding teachers' efforts

Each year, NEAT acknowledges individual teachers who have introduced innovative methods of teaching and learning. By stretching the horizons and raising the expectations of their students, they make a real difference in the lives of our children.

Award recipients are selected from five regions: British Columbia and Yukon, The Prairies, Northwest Territories and Nunavut, Ontario, Quebec and Atlantic Canada.
