Manitoba launches Retail Sales Tax (RST) – Heritage Plans with insurance contracts in this province will be affected

We wish to inform our clients in Manitoba that due to the recent changes in the Manitoba Retail Sales Tax Act, effective July 15, 2012 a Retail Sales Tax (RST) of 7% will apply to the insurance coverage on your Registered Education Savings Plan.  As a result, your new standard contribution amount will be made effective immediately.  No further action is required on your part.
